After all the heavy rain and storms we experienced around Christmas and the New Year, January 2016 has been our busiest January since 2007. With all the rain, drips and overflows have been the symptoms of blocked and broken guttering.
We have been cleaning out guttering mainly in Belfast, unblocking downspouts and fixing broken/ dripping guttering almost every working day this January.
Thankfully most problems can be resolved without major work, but it is always best to try and keep your gutters maintained so the problems don’t happen in the first place.
The easiest way to do this is to have your guttering cleaned out once a year. If there are trees close to your property, then wait until the leaves have fallen, then get them cleaned out to give you a full year of clear guttering.
As soon as you discover a drip or leak, get it fixed as soon as possible. Unfortunately if dripping gutters are left unattended, damp can become a problem.
Remember “prevention is better than cure” so if your guttering hasn’t been cleaned and checked out recently, then why not give us a call to arrange a no obligation quote!
